TDM Construction Ltd was contracted to Downer NZ Ltd in a combined sewer/storm water separation joint venture project between Watercare, Auckland Council and Transit NZ.
Located in one of the oldest parts of Auckland, there were multiple existing services discovered that were not on any plan, nor identified with ground radar. This affected both health and safety and design, with each day requiring a new plan to meet fresh challenges.
Working closely with Downer NZ Ltd and designers BECA, solutions were made by the team onsite, effectively communicating with engineers to keep the project moving forward. Regular meetings with the other stakeholders meant the project was a success, and a great example of how multiple stakeholders with different requirements can work together to achieve the best outcome for all.

This is a current project with TDM Construction Ltd being contracted to Downer NZ Ltd, for client NZTA.
The scope of this project involves installation of an extensive stormwater network, consisting of pipes from 1500mm down to 225mm diameter for the Waikato Expressway upgrade.
Some of the challenges to date have involved negotiating live traffic flow, other services and the varying topography, ranging from hard rock to soft silts.
