Work completed for Downer NZ LTD
May - June 2012
TDM Construction Ltd was contracted by Downer NZ Ltd as a civil contractor for client Auckland Transport. The project involved building workshops for the new electric trains in Wiri, Auckland.
This project came with significant challenges including a very tight time frame, working next to the live rail corridor, and all services being installed in hard basalt rock.
The time constraints meant the site was heavily resourced and congested, as numerous services were installed simultaneously. Digging beneath the new power gantry and working around other services were some of the added complications.
This project had an increased scope, and TDM Construction Ltd still completed the work within the original time frame.
